The Allen-Bradley 1762-IQ16 is a 16-point sink and source input module. It measures 90 x 87 x 40 millimeters, runs on 24 Volts DC input power at a 10 to 30 Volt DC operating voltage. Its maximum heat dissipation is 3.7 Watts. The 1762-IQ16 enhances the functionality of MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1400 controllers. It needs minimal space and it can be mounted on a DIN rail or a panel mount. The 1762-IQ16 features Sixteen (16) sinking and sourcing capable channels. Each channel may be wired to a field input device carrying a nominal voltage of 24VDC. Each channel exhibits signal delay of 8.0 ms for both ON to OFF and OFF to ON transition. These input channels are ideal for interfacing field devices such as limit switches, relay and magnetic contactor contacts, proximity sensors and other discrete devices.

This data file contains the Input information which may be represented in binary, octal, decimal and Hexadecimal values. These representations are called Radix.

To connect this module to the MicroLogix base controller, simply interconnect the provided ribbon cable to the assigned slot in the adjacent module. The ribbon cable establishes the bus connection as well as provide power distribution.
