With the use of the 1746-OW8, the need of interposing relays may be eliminated. Interposing relays are typically used for operation with different voltage categories. As this module already supports the mentioned capability, the need for interposing circuit is eliminated, saving panel space and increasing cost effectiveness.

This module has a similar signal delay rating of 10.0 ms for ON and OFF transitions at maximum resistive load. This module is certified for Class 1, Division 2 operation. The continuous current per module is 16.0 Ampere AC with 8.0 A per group. It occupies a single slot of the chassis regardless of the installation location.
