Allen Bradley 25B-D010N104 PowerFlex 525 4kW (5Hp) AC Drive

The Allen-Bradley 25B-D010N104 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive is an AC drive with a stand-alone detachable control module, which provides all-around and cost-effective motor control in a variety of industrial applications ranging from standalone operation to simple system integration. Its modular design makes it easy to use with field configuration and installation, and users can also control, configure, and access the application data remotely via an embedded Ethernet/IP port, which is an added advantage over conventional drives.

The 25B-D010N104 is a 3-phase, 480 Volts AC drive, with 10.5 Amps of output current , and unlike some Powerflex 525 drives, with an output power rating of 5.0 Horsepower. This drive is designed with built-in protective features like automatic BUS voltage regulation and fast acting current limiting, and it also has a Safe Torque-Off feature, common to all PowerFlex 525 drives, which allows for the quicker response of applications in the event of a safety-related stop, as well as to protect the internal components and personnel. The 25B-D010N104 is designed with an enhanced power loss ride-through time, and removable metal oxide varistor, which provides protection from ground faults when used in an ungrounded condition. The 25B-D010N104 can be programmed for either Volt per Hertz control, sensorless vector control, closed loop velocity vector control, and the permanent magnet motor control. It utilizes a Pulse Width Modulated signal with 2 to 16 kilohertz programmable carrier frequency range, and it offers a selectable output voltage ranging from 0 to the rated motor voltage. It offers a frequency performance range of +/- 0.5% of the base speed across a 100:1 speed range without an encoder device, and it has an operational efficiency of 97.5%. The 25B-D010N104 offers 2 programmable acceleration/deceleration times programmed in 0.1-second increments to up to 60 seconds, and it also offers a normal duty overload rating of 110% of the output rating for 60 seconds and 15% of the output rating for 3 seconds. It has I/O 2 analog inputs, seven digital inputs, 1 analog output, and 2 relay outputs for additional control.

The 25B-D010N104 communicates using an embedded Ethernet/IP port which allows for control over the Ethernet network, and it also has an integral RS-485 serial interface which allows for multi-drop communication configuration. This drive is a Frame D drive with an open type enclosure, and it has an operating temperature limit of -20 to 50 degrees Celsius (-4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) without derating. The 25B-D010N104 is ATEX, KCC, KUV, CE, RCM, and cUL-us, certified, and it weighs approximately 1.6 kilograms, with total mounting dimensions of 87 x 180 x 172 millimeters.

This PowerFlex 525 is also supplied with an embedded keypad allowing local operation such as Start / Stop / Jog /Forward / Reverse commands as well as configuration of parameters. It is paired with an embedded Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) readout to allow the user to monitor the current status of the drive and current paremeter menu.
